Televangelist claims apocalyptic ‘expertise’ to hawk ‘End of the World’ survivalist gear on website

Disgraced television evangelist Jim Bakker is now in the apocalypse survival business, The New York Daily News reports.

Bakker, who served five years in a federal prison on fraud and conspiracy charges in the early 1990s, has rebranded himself as an expert in the biblical Book of Revelation — and, apparently, how to survive the events described therein.

The website for The Jim Bakker Show advertises everything from “End of the World Biscuits” to “Extreme Survival Bottles” to the “Time of Trouble Tub,” which contains 7,728 servings of black bean burgers.

Instead of purchasing these items, as one typically does with an online retailer, The Jim Bakker Show‘s “Love Gifts” are made available via “donations” at extremely marked-up prices.
