An Ohio man has been charged with animal abandonment after Humane Society authorities matched his name with a suitcase in which the six puppies had been trapped. The suitcase, allegedly belonging to Howard Davis, 53, had been left next to a garbage can in a Toledo alleyway.
The puppies were discovered after someone noticed their mother pacing around the closed suitcase.
Toledo Area Humane Society spokeswoman Cyndi Condit told Reuters that Davis lives only two blocks from where the puppies were found.

Or is he simply a moron who doesn't know where puppies and babies come from?

(11,791 posts)I know that's not nice, but I would do it in honor of my dearly departed English bulldog, Knuckles. He was THE sweetest bulldog you'd ever meet, especially if you were a lady. He loved the ladies. Bulldogs are great dogs, lazy, slobbery, stinky, loyal sweeties.
Stupid jerk.

i just bought my second english pup, and that mom looks like a mix, and those pups don't look like any of the pups i looked at. so, he ain't much of a business. people think raising puppies is easy money. but not if you raise junk like this.
hope mom gets a new home, too.
eta-i am sure they are sweet little pups. i love all dogs. but if this was supposed to be a business proposition for the guy, it is a giant fail. these pups are not good bulldogs.

(4,507 posts)the level of cruelty in one's heart to be capable of such an act - it is hard for me to fathom, and when I try to imagine the mind that could possibly conceive of this as something to do, well, yes, I want to punch that person in the mind, too. Repeatedly. And then lock him in a suitcase to await the medical treatment that I can assure you, he would desperately need.

(46,585 posts)This man is the kind of person who cannot be taught compassion toward animals. The only thing that registers with soulless people like this is punishment (fines, imprisonment). I hope the dipshit is prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and prohibited from every owning another animal again.
