I am done with meet the press

and I am writing to tell them why. They are now 100% right wing anti-Obama. Chuck can't help but bad mouth the President on every question. Totally sickening. Bernie Sanders did make the toad look like an idiot and I think he knew it so he kind of mellowed a little. But all I can get is right wing talk in Billings radio so I can't listen to that and an antenna on the roof is 5 channels on the TV.. Sooooooo it must be time to hook my computer to my TV to keep better informed on my politics. I'm sure I can get better news some how. I can't take the lies, hate and propaganda no more. Sometimes this first amendment thing makes me wonder about honesty and fairness. It don't seem right that a person can lie, spread hate, racism massive propaganda and it's OK, because of the first amendment. The fairness doctrine stopped a lot of that.

Obama on MTP, but that was it. I really can't stand Chuck Todd, hell, parts of Fox News are better than listening to him. It's damn clear what the Comcast agenda is ... but not surprised at all, we knew what Comcast was about.

Now all I read is "Dems BAD. Repubs GOOOOD".

I just wish progressives like Bill Gates and Warren Buffet would get together and buy a cable network (instead of, for example, invest $3 billion in the merger of an American burger franchise with a Canadian burger franchise), make it free to the people like Murdoch does with Faux News Channel, and then hire politically savvy people from Left {Randi Rhodes and John Fugelsang would be two I'd definitely hire) to Center-Left (Alex Wagner, for example) who are bound to only report the facts with guests who are liberal to center-left to argue them.

I believe such a venture would be successful.

Positively mind-boggling what passes for "progressive" these days.
Then, I guess when you live in a country where some people think the Prez is a socialist, it's to be expected.

Our political discourse runs the gamut from A to B.

Thank you, corporate media!
All your money and propaganda are paying big dividends.

whether its out of morbid curiosity or because we agree....we give them an audience. When we give them an audience-they'll keep on doing what we tune in to see/hear.
I left the mess of MTP/60 Minutes (used to be Informative, in depth investigative reporting) years ago, FTN etc.
Hell, I don't even watch my local "news" unless there is a major weather event- it's all "he said/she said" drama, minor crimes, speculation, personal biases and giggles....nothing to Learn, no facts and no follow up on Any story anymore.

and envelope - and complains to places like CNN and NBC and other "news" outlets in America (forget about Fox "News" Channel that they're carrying too much water for Republicans and their lies while they indulge in blatant smack down of President Obama or any Democrat who's progressive and threatens their entitled position, the pro-GOP executives (which are all of them) at the top might listen. Might.

Aw heck. Who am I kidding? They're not going to listen. They know they're broadcasting lies and deceit. It's because they actually work hard on doing exactly that so that they, together with their other corporate brethren, can finally crush the U.S. Constitution and all those pesky Amendments that, combined, is protecting us from their radical dream of turning this democracy into the oligarchy that they're pining for.

Bernie walks around with statistics memorized in his head about most issues; especially dealing with financial aspects and how shafted the American people are by the wealthy class in this country. The M$M desperately want to shut Sanders down ASAP.. Guess they are hoping for a "Dean Scream" moment.. LOL

plus internet news is commerical free.

All MSM has internet channels, even.
Better yet, you can get news from all over the world via Internet, and learn different sides to an issue.
Doesn't take long to figure out which sites are reliable and spin free.

Telling the advertisers that they are forever associated with such lies and deceit and that is bad for their image, and at odds with the reason they are advertising is likely to get much more of a reaction.

Even appealing to their so-called Christian principles: "The good book tells us not to lie and yet I heard these lies on the program you are advertising in..."

I've never watched them to begin with. I swore off talk tv and radio back in the 80s, and never returned.

There are so many better ways to spend my time than listening to a bunch of media talking heads trying to tell me what I ought to think or trying to push my buttons.

fyi: right wing and anti-Obama are not synonymous.

As for the Doctrine, the FCC could have revived it at any time, until the Obama administration, when the FCC killed it. Now, reviving it will take an act of Congress--and what are the chances of that?
