As the Future looms, Big Jim lays down the Law to our FRiends...

FR:

NO ROMNEY!!

Those who cannot stomach rebellion might as well start looking for a new home on the net!!

Those who have ignored my hundreds of posts on this crucial issue or who have doubted me these last three or four years might as well get used to it. FR will never support the abortionist, homosexualist, socialist, mandate loving, constitution trampling liar Mitt Romney.

In case you haven't noticed, a TEA Party rebellion is on and Free Republic signed on years ago. There is no turning back. No more crap from the GOP-e!! They've screwed us for the last time!! Karl Rove and Mitt Romney, et al, loathe conservatism and loathe the tea party and took it upon themselves to use their money and connections to destroy nearly every one of our conservative tea party candidates while pushing their big government RINOS. That makes them the enemy. I will not reward that betrayal by giving them my support or my vote.

Oh, and send money!

isn't quite as robust as your puckered-up asshole.

Your minions would be lost if something were to happen to you.

Obama's re-election will signal the end of the current coalition of the Republican Party.
They're splintered far worse than the Democrats were in the Hillary/Obama fights.
I have said it before on these boards that I haven't considered myself a Democrat in years.
The only label I accept is Progressive if you have to give me a label.
It's because I want the country to progress not regress.
But nothing has changed with my hate of the Republican Party.

Ever since 1964 with the Civil Rights Act passed destroying Jim Crow, those old nasty Southern Democrat bigots called the Dixiecrats left the party nearly wholesale & ironically joined up with the party who was responsible for the South's defeat in that War on Slavery 100 years prior.
That brand has been a collection of small-minded, short-sighted, know-nothing bigots ever since.
The gathering of bigots of all stripes.
Strangely enough the core Republican which is big money business interests uses this mass of bigots for political weight & representation. After all there just ain't that many rich people in the world compared to poorer people.

This unholy alliance has resulted in all the dumb thoughtless hazardous policies in the past 40 years. And ever since I was a boy I wanted to see this coalition crumble before my eyes.
If the modern-day Democrats, those who atoned for the party's evil past by becoming a collection of equality-minded fighters for social & economic justice...
...if they were strong, they could have rendered the Republicans a fringe party decades ago.
But they allowed this problem to fester.

Bush's horrifying reign along with Obama's subsequent election was the crack in the seal. And now the power's all leaking out of the Republican Party. One more big blow will shatter the seal & the power will finish leaking out.

Making a stand on a shrinking island.
The party of old scared White regressives & their useful idiot tokens serving their wealthy masters.
The demographics have changed & playing that old tired game in this election will show itself not to work anymore.
The new Whites recognize others as equals. The young will have friends of all ethnic & sexual backgrounds. The poor as a whole are starting to understand what 99% vs. 1% mean & are uniting. Fear is losing its impact. Understanding dispels fear. Understanding promotes progress.

So I welcome elements of that movement willing to double down on that bad strategy.
They can't break the 50% threshold on a national stage anymore.
In regional stages, we still have a fight on our hands but that dog don't hunt no more nationally.
Eventually we'll drive that ignorance to the fringes in the regional levels too.

I have ideas on what the next realignment is going to be (I'm thinking Republican Party as the "party of prosperity" AKA the party that makes you rich) but make no mistake about it 2012 will begin the dissolving of the current-day Republican Party.

The only divide I look forward is between Progressives. Slow progressives & fast progressives.
But the key word is Progressive.
Conservative & Republican need to become toxic words in the national lexicon.
John Lucas
