Bad Timing And Training Cats Are Two Things That Come To Mind Causing The President Grief......

'Bad Timing' in that the mid-term elections are coming up. I'm thinking the President is sacrificing his good name to not create a situation where he goes to Congress for approval and Congress has to vote one way or another. I don't think Congress really wants to be on record for such a vote. Especially some Dems in highly contested states. Again no matter what each Congress person votes - the other side will turn it around on them. I'm thinking that if we were past the midterms - the President would go to Congress for approval. I believe the President realizes that no matter what he commits to on this strategy - he'll be criticized. So he might as well take it on himself and say that he can do whatever he does given that fact that he is Commander In Chief and is doing it to protect this country.

As for 'Training Cats' - did you ever try to train a cat? Very hard and maybe only some unique cats succumb to training. I believe it is the same thing with the U.S. trying to train other countries armies to take up the cause for their country and fight ISIL. Seems like we've failed in Iraq and Afghanistan to do this effectively. Why do we think this will work this time? Seems like the arms that we will provide in the process always wind up in the hands of the next big threat to us.

I'm really feeling sorry for President Obama. He's been up against obstacles from the day he took office. Obstruction, obstruction and more obstruction by the other Party. The Dems seem to be afraid of their own shadow and many of them don't provide undying support to this man. It seems like it is every man for himself in Congress.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that President Obama's wisdom will show through tonight and into the fight with this ISIL group. I sure as hell don't want another war; boots on the ground and the spending of our fighting men and women and our monies. I don't have a problem with drones; airstrikes; trying to utilize a coalition - especially by the people of the region to fight ISIL. I'm for letting them deal with this themselves. Cut the apron strings. Tough love and all that. It should be their battle and not ours. It became ours because of people like Dick Cheney and George W.

I just don't think MSM will give the President the support he needs to pull this off and I know the likes of people like Dick Cheney, John McCain, Lindsay Graham; Mitch McConnell & John Boehner will be all over whatever the President lays out tonight in his address.

What a revolting development this is.
