Malaysia Airlines is a flying ghost town

http://nypost.com/2014/08/26/malaysian-airlines-is-now-a-flying-ghost-town/

Malaysia Airlines flights have transformed into mile-high ghost towns as pictures posted to social media depict a barren scene of near-empty planes and desolate terminals.

Photos of abandoned seats and deserted waiting areas come as the international airline continues to lose overwhelming amounts of money daily while it recovers from the downing of flight MH17 and the disappearance of flight MH370.

Twitter users revealed desolate check-in lines and deserted airplanes, with some even enjoying the extra space to lounge.

“Thank you @MAS it is an amazing surprise,” @WanPingCoombes tweeted on Aug. 17 as she cheerfully posed with her family on what appeared to be a completely vacant plane.

Anyone is still more likely to get killed in traffic on their way to the airport by orders of magnitude.

There is nothing about the brand that renders that airline any more risky than other major carriers.

I travel quite a bit during the year and I'll have to check what alliances they are in and see if I can book them.

Amazing how irrational people can be.

It looks like one pilot went cuckoo, maybe, and another plane was shot down. Those events do not make a pattern, but the human brain is unfortunately wired to see patterns where it's just a matter of "shit happens".
