before he was notified. Could this have been done already and not made public? I guess a circumvent could be putting him on the watch list.

Unless he finds a government willing to help hide him just to piss of the US, even moving to another country might not guarantee his safety. This story has garnered international attention and social media has proven to be a force to be reckoned with. Maybe some militia or Nazi group like the one roaming Sanford will help him.

Just watch.

While there is a chance you are right, I am pretty optimistic that he will be charged myself. The evidence against him is so strong it would be very difficult to justify not charging him, and if he does not get charged not only will ordinary people like us will be pissed but the Florida businesses will be pissed as well. Tourism is a huge industry in Florida and there are a lot of people saying they won't vacation in Florida anymore because of this law. Failing to charge Zimmerman will result in millions, possibly even billions of dollars in lost tourism dollars to the state. The Sanford Police Department thought they could sweep this under the rug, but Corey knows she can't so I am predicting she will charge him.

The way the short announcement said something along the lines of 'will discuss our findings' (or maybe it was 'release' them) make me think it's not looking so good.

The idiots are bound to start a big riot if they refuse to prosecute this. I wouldn't put it past Florida's corrupt governor to be totally tone death as to refuse to change the gun law and be unsympathetic to the cause the second people start rioting over letting a murderer go free.

He made contact with Sean Verminnity.
There is a rumor that he called the office of Special Prosecutor Angela Corey by himself.
That concludes she's going to re-affirm no charge for Zimmerman.

29. Or it could be desperation
Tue Apr 10, 2012, 09:19 PM
Apr 2012

He might have freaked out that his previous strategy was not working so he is desperately trying to find something else that might work. I would not read too much into Zimmerman's actions, I suspect he is not real bright and he probably did not think these actions through too well. I think there is about a 90% chance that he gets charged, at this point the state of Florida has far more to lose by letting him off the hook than they have to gain and the evidence against him appears to be so solid that Corey would have a hard time justifying letting him off the hook without even a trial.

Tue Apr 10, 2012, 09:16 PM
Apr 2012

- Mexico will not extradite someone charged with a crime that can lead to the death penalty
- Zimmerman is hispanic; his dad is a judge who worked in the CIA with daddy Bush; he knows the law
- he's in Texas or near a border ready to sneak over if charged
- the prosecutor couldn't arrest him 'cause she didn't know where he is!
- his lawyers can't defend him 'cause he refuses to turn himself in
- he's gonna try to disappear over the border, but he won't go through immigration with a passport even if there is no warrant for him

You need to have a Grand Jury to charge a person with first degree murder in Florida and second degree murder is not a capitol offense. The maximum sentence he could receive is life without parole which as a person who opposes the death penalty I think is the most appropriate sentence for him.

He'll be charged with manslaughter and arrested.

but we have lots of folks here who have dual citizenship or a parent from another country (Zimmerman's mom is from Peru) or family in other countries. They take off and it's very difficulty to get them back, no matter what the charge is...even if he is not facing a murder charge, some countries won't extradite to a place where it is possible to be executed.
