Who doesn't have a problem with police procuring military equipment??

Then you obviously agree with most of our Congress.

In my opinion, it is the worst judgement by Congress since they voted for the invasion of Iraq, although they say they did not vote for the invasion? But, they did.

Their vote to grant excess weapons and materiel to local police forces should be an affront to us all. Such incompetence would normally call for dismissal. But, if that were the case, we would need to fire most of this Congress.

Which might not be a bad idea?

with this military hardware? It is no big deal to them. I think they are dangerously out of touch.

around in it to intimidate people. It was wrong then, and even worse now.

Not only that, the police seem to hire folks who have a bent toward violence and no trouble killing if they see themselves in the least bit of danger. It's one thing to shoot someone who might whirl around with a gun, it's another to shoot someone so they can't whirl around after being told to stop. The later seems to be what so many policemen do nowadays.

Of course, a lot of the citizenry is the same way with their gunz and hatred.
