Not particularly looking or trouble, but...

Valerie Welker (sp) WH reporter, said today that Hillary Clinton has to (1) straddle the line between detaching herself from Obama for some voters, and (2) offending others by brushing him off with some of her "inartful" remarks.

I heard that "stupid stuff" remark and she took it out of context.. Axelrod explained it best in a tweet I heard on TV when he said an example of stupid stuff was invading Iraq.

I know that Vernon Jordan was Bill Clinton's best friend, especially during the impeachment, and probably still is. Also know there's some connection between him and Valerie Jerritt (sp).

I could see NO advantage to Obama in attending Jordon's wife's birthday party and seating him and Michelle at the same table as the Clintons....especially at this time. He's got world problems on his mind now and should be kept out of stupid stuff like this party.

I RESENT VERY MUCH JORDON USING MY PRESIDENT AS A PROP.

That means there are 3 things that the Clinton people have to be careful of, not two.

You seriously think Obama attended an event against his will, and was "used as a prop?" Really?

And you think Vernon Jordan had the power to do that?

And you think that Vernon Jordan, because of his friendship with the Clintons, has never, before this, interacted with the Obamas?

Obama doesn't do anything he doesn't want to do.

I wish I had been able to score an invitation to that party--it sounds like it was a BLAST.....

Vern Jordan a bit, well, amusing.

I'll bet Obama enjoyed the hell out of the party--likely one of the few places he could relax and enjoy some good music, food and company. And your point is well taken--he sits where he WANTS to sit...it's one of the perks of the job!
