A 500 year event!

Heard on the radio on the way to the train today...

As much as 14" of rain fell in parts of Long Island during a 24hr period ending yesterday.

Shattered the NY State record set in Tarrytown during Hurricane Irene.

I like the photo of the two women wading through the water. They don't seem overly perturbed by the situation. "Well, that happened." they seem to be saying.

in the past 15 years or so. Time must be speeding up. Sure couldn't be climate change.
