ok, presidential primary season has started with NO ONE announced yet.

Here is your survival guide.

1. You won't win every argument or get the last word every time. You'll eventually have to eat, use the bathroom and go to bed.

2. Be careful what you condemn candidate 'A' for. Candidate 'B' has a secret lurking in his or her closet that is quite similar. It will be revealed and you will look like a hypocrite.

3. Despite what you may think, every Democrat doesn't feel like you do. The people you go drinking with and your allies on DU in no way shape or form represent the entire party.

4. Likewise, Presidential preference polls on DU seldom match polls 'in real life.' If you claim Gallup and Quinnipiac and others must be rigging their polls to 'pick our candidate,' you'll sound like a raving lunatic.

5. The media isn't trying to pick our candidate, either. They're pushing stories that will get ratings. The epic Obama vs. Clinton 2008 primary was such a story. Dennis Kucinich's run in past elections was not. The only way to avoid this is to ban the media from covering elections. And we don't really want that.

6. Some people resent it when you say they're not "real Democrats." Why? Because it's a stupid thing to say.

7. Believe it or not, primary adversaries are often good friends and respectful of each other. While some of the drama is real, some of it is most certainly for theatrics.

for the other Democratic candidates. That weakens the party and is counterproductive. At the end of the day anyone nominated by the Democratic Party will be light years better than the GOP's collection of miserable freaks.

until after that election, most announcements come in Jan and Feb usually. Most and usually. So it is in no way unusual for there to be no announced candidates at this time.
There are actual candidates for an election that happens in 3 months that is also very important. Actual election, real candidates. 3 months.
