"A woman had given birth to naturally conceived identical quadruplet girls, which is very rare. And she said, "The doctors told me there was a one in 64 million chance that this could happen. It's A MIRACLE!" But, of course, we know it's not, because things that have a one in 64 million chance happen ... ALL the TIME! To presume that your one in 64 million chance thing is a miracle, is to significantly underestimate the total number of things that THERE ARE. ... Maths."

The part in the quote starts shortly after the one minute mark.
He is always spot on in showing the silliness that leads to beliefs that just can't be supported as justified, at the end of the day. And that's important, IMO.

(49,212 posts)It wasn't a miracle, no divine intervention was required. It was the hardest fucking work I've ever done and it took was 24 hours of pain and extertion without a rest, food or more than a sip of water.
Calling it a miracle disrespects women and how fucking tough we are.
