Millions of working Americans don’t know where their next meal is coming from. We sent three photographers to explore hunger in three very different parts of the United States, each giving different faces to the same statistic: One-sixth of Americans don’t have enough food to eat.

1. You are breaking my heart here. The pictures and story, so very sad.

I mentioned in the past that my mom works at the local food pantry. Eighty eight years old. Small town, yet they get a lot of donations from the local market, some fresh. They also shop at places like Costco and repackage some of the meats into smaller portions. They use their money wisely to get the most for their money.

This is a small suburb, however the surrounding towns shop here. There are many that are needy and she continues to see larger numbers coming in.

I love her for doing this.
