and I do appreciate your contribution.
unfortunately for me, I see the largest slice of the racism pie in homeless shanty towns that were overwhelmingly and needless to say, disproportionately black (and poor, but that sort of follows).
These crowded populations forced into that location (by police and obviously, city policy)on the edge of the section of town where blacks were historically concentrated within the red lines of racism.
Going to school just a few miles north of that area there were only the smallest number of African American students,
just one in my junior high as I recall, small hick school of maybe 200, maybe a half dozen in a high school of 800 or more.
Now, the dumb luck of these African Americans to keep themselves sequestered in areas where the government thoughtfully built most of the public housing and kept the criminal elements crowded for quite a few years before the proliferation of numerous gangs associated with various migrant communities spread the violence much more randomly, and the poverty as well. Now the whole south side of town is poor, but still very racially divided.
and of course, those self harming blacks invited the crack cocaine into their lives, and worked so hard to assimilate into homeless communities.
anyway, thanks for pointing out my insidiousness,
sir.
