These are the women responsible for change. They are a different breed than what has now consumed by beloved Texas. These women were tough, intelligent, dedicated, proactive and committed.

I remember them fondly and often.

Her works for native plants, wildflowers, nature, and getting rid of bill boards
along interstates were wonderful and they are still paying benefits. She also got
many islands in the Potomac around D.C. protected as natural areas too.
