Did Hobby Lobby buy a full-page "In God We Trust" ad today in your local paper?

They did in mine. Quotes from early US Presidents, Founding Fathers, court justices, university charters, all sorts of luminaries from history, affirming the need for guidance from The Almighty and in some cases the need for Christianity.

I don't think I'd ever seen one advertiser buy the entire back page of the "A" section of this paper. Now I wonder how detached the editorial staff will remain going forward.

I know, I know... you don't read the local paper. But if you do, and if there's a HL in your town, check in and let me know if this happened today where you are.

Who on Earth gets the newspaper today? If they really wanted to do something, put it all over the internet. That is where people get their news today. Oh well, their money.

Greed for Money gathers supporters by holding Souls Hostage.

The word 'GOD', in the profit driven bible, means something entirely different than in the christian bible.

GOD = Profit$ in the profit driven bible.

Righties are idiots & the Devil is hard at work here & laughing all the way to the bank.

Twice as long as I have boycotted Hobby Lobby.

I am sure they did though since I live where they have their corporate headquarters and the newspaper here is the worst paper in america (Columbia Journalism Review) and as RW as you can get.

The CJR said of the Daily Oklahoman, “The Daily Oklahoman has become a newspaper in reverse, sucking intelligence from its readers.”

I stopped letting them suck from me years ago.

Then why would you ever have to invoke its name or take out a full-page ad? If you feel that you have to defend "God" then haven't you already admitted that it is not any of the above?

And on that basis, Hobby Lobby is spurned. As for God's role in this fiasco, wrapping oneself in a media-driven religious blanket is always cause for suspicion, especially regarding large for-profit corporations that pull out all the stops in order to screw their employees.

Just wait until the quarterly revenue arrives, they won't be laughing then. Although I am not sure what their agenda is because I heard they were going to close down completely if the Supreme Court did not decide on their lawsuit so maybe money isn't necessarily their agenda. Not sure what it is though.

I feel for their employees because they are seriously stuck and it was designed that way. They pay way more than any other company of "entry level" (I hate using "entry level" but can't think of another name because I know people who have worked for companies for 25 years and would not be considered entry level even though they are unfairly counted as such), but that extra pay comes with a serious cost. They can't really quit because if they do, they will lose at least 50 percent of their salary going to a new company. The company is evil to the core. They actually have snowed the Americans into believing they take care of their employees, but really are controlling them more than any other company in America.
