This poor guy certainly didn't get his wish:

I hope relief will be coming soon and action not just paper talk . . . I hope that Wall Street will never have the power again to cause such a panic.

Pottstown, PA.

The guy didn't get his wish and we are suffering because of it. I wish he'd gotten his wish too.

I bought a mirror in an antique shop there over thirty years ago, one of my few prized possessions. Pottstown is in the heart of mining district in the Allegheny Mts. Row houses along Main Street, last time I was there most were abandoned and there was a major truck route on Main Street with a hard 90 degree turn on a steep hill that was too small for the trucks of today and a railroad underpass that was barely tall enough for a 13'6" trailer to pass under. They wanted a by-pass and were petitioning for one to be built. Wonder if that ever happened.

From the guy's letter shows that time doesn't really change everything.

one of those legendary poor mining towns. Had some beautiful architecture... wonder what it's like there now.
