8. Put God back in schools. Again, he is an omniscient being. If he wants to be there, hes there.

14. God destroyed ______ with a hurricane (or fire or whatever). Thats very much a logical fallacy, because when its done to Christians, they say that the devil is testing them. Or God is testing them. Yet when it happens to anyone else, its God punishing the victims. Shut up.

21. Our Founding Fathers were Christians. Nope. At least not all of them were.
Religions are all alike founded upon fables and mythologies. Thomas Jefferson
In no instance have . . . the churches been guardians of the liberties of the people. James Madison
Lighthouses are more helpful than churches. Benjamin Franklin
I beg you be persuaded that no one would be more zealous than myself to establish effectual barriers against the horrors of spiritual tyranny, and every species of religious persecution. George Washington

(18,219 posts)I liked #13: Its un-Christian to question anything in the Bible. God (the omniscient being) gave you a brain. Use it.
But I can see the reasoning behind that one. If you question one thing, it could cause you to question more and more.

(36,063 posts)It seems to me that the person who put this list together did so hastily...
Seems to me sinning/wrong doing could be done with knowledge that they are wrong...that might mean that sinning/wrong doing is done willfully flouting the knowledge of good and evil or people who know better, might just "forget".
It appears to me the theological issue isn't that god is all knowing (onmiscient). At least for some faithful, god is already omnipresent and 'we' poor humans, faithful or not, can't do diddly about that.
However, the -political/religious- issue for people who want to insert god into schools is that they would like children to be -instructed- about god so that the children's ignorance gets fixed somehow. For them this is less about god and more about indoctrinating children into the details of theistic faith.
Rationalization is one of several forms of explaining away the logical problem of Faulty Causation through ad hoc explanations. Like references to fake "statistics", they can be created as needed. This root of the problem can fall anywhere from self-deception to lying. It seems that IF god was present in their schooling, this behavior may not be purposeful lying.
