Boehner and Ryan are sad the President told the truth about Republicans

Paul Ryan is mad at President Obama for telling the truth about Republicans

by Jed Lewison

Poor little Paulie is pissed:

“History will not be kind to a president who, when it came time to confront our generation’s defining challenge, chose to duck and run,” Ryan said. “The president refuses to take responsibility for the economy and refuses to offer a credible plan to address the most predictable economic crisis in our history.”

Um, speaking of history not judging things kindly, how does Paul Ryan think history would judge a political party (say, for example, the G.O.P.) that refused to learn from their past mistakes (say, for example, the failure of trickle-down economics in the Bush years) and insisted on trying them all over again (say, for example, with the Romney-Ryan plan)? And speaking of taking responsibility, how about Paul Ryan take responsibility for supporting what Bush and the Republicans did to our economy after the Clinton years.

“Like his reckless budgets, today’s speech by President Obama is as revealing as it is disappointing: While others lead by offering real solutions, he has chosen to distort the truth and divide Americans in order to distract from his failed record,” added Ryan, who is in Wisconsin campaigning with Mitt Romney ahead of Tuesday’s primaries there.

The only thing reckless here is Paul Ryan's plan to cut the top income tax bracket to 25 percent, and the only thing dividing Americans is Ryan's insistence that the poor and middle-class should be asked to pay for those tax cuts. And the failed record doesn't belong to President Obama, it belongs to Republicans and George W. Bush. President Obama in three years already has a better private sector job creation record than George W. Bush in eight. And it's going to get even better. And given those facts, it's no surprise that Paul Ryan would rather make up stuff about President Obama than actually talking about how we got to where we are.

Boehner: Obama Resorted To 'Distortions And Partisan Pot-Shots'

House Speaker John Boehner released the following statement in response to President Obama's speech on Paul Ryan's budget proposal:

“Our country faces serious economic and fiscal challenges. Americans continue to be disappointed that the president is shrinking from those challenges rather than displaying the courage needed to solve them. Instead of reaching across the aisle to enact the changes needed to restore America’s prosperity, the president has resorted to distortions and partisan pot-shots, and recommitted himself to policies that have made our country’s debt crisis worse. He’s so unserious about our country’s problems that he’s offered a budget that failed to garner a single vote in the U.S. House of Representatives or the U.S. Senate. And his own party leadership in the Senate hasn’t passed a budget in more than 1,000 days.

“If the president were serious, he would put forward a plan to deal with our debt crisis and save Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid for future generations of seniors without raising taxes on small businesses that are struggling in this economy. Instead, he has chosen to campaign rather than govern, and the debt crisis he is presiding over is only getting worse.

“House Republicans, led by Chairman Ryan, passed a responsible budget that would help put Americans back to work, protect our seniors, close President Obama’s massive budget deficits, and do ‘all of the above’ to address high gas prices. It makes the tough choices the president refuses to make to address the staggering deficits and debt that are slowing our economic recovery, costing jobs, and threatening to destroy the American dream. Republicans are committed to the budget we’ve put forward, and committed to solving the serious economic and fiscal challenges our country faces. It’s time for the president to join us.”

The Democrats should make Ryan eat Atlas Shrugged. Although, except for the rape early on, the book has some pretty good sex.

Ryan looks like a sidekick on some Saturday-morning kids' show!

If only he were wearing a clown costume.

They could call him "Sad Brad"

What's wrong, Sad Brad?
(whimper, whimper) My baby brother was born wrinkled, toothless, and bald.
What's wrong with that?
(whimper, whimper) Why couldn't mom and dad get a new one?

project their shortcomings on to others.
Somewhere I remember learning that it is the lack of self awareness and empathy that causes people to see faults in others that they fear in themselves.

Republicans and their hate-radio minions can (and do) spend all day blasting and bashing President Obama and the Democrats mercilessly and saying the most hateful, heinous, libelous, scurrilous things about them through their use of lies, distortions, projections, etc. but when the President Obama and the Democrats strike back at them over their hateful, irrational, and misguided policies, they become all tender little "flower-lillies" whose feelings are easily hurt.

President Obama and Democrats didn't bring all of this sleaze and political "Mortal Kombat" to Washington DC and statehouses around the country and for far too long IMHO have tried to remain civil, with President Clinton working with the Republicans in Congress for six of his eight total years in office to get the people's business done in the 1990's despite their concerted attempts to run him out of office and the Democrats even worked with (P)resident George W. Bush in the wake of a misbegotten election outcome in 2000 and a massive terrorist attack in 2001 to keep the country and its citizens going, however President Obama, in contrast, wasn't given a single moment of grace from the Republicans since the very minute, hour, and day he was elected POTUS.

Rush Limbaugh, the GOP's head cheerleader and propagandist declared- almost immediately- that he wanted President Obama to fail and the rest of the Republican Party thought that that was the way to go and they have acted accordingly. No matter how much President Obama tried to work with them on things, particularly things that used to be able to garner some Republican support (i.e. immigration reform, cap & trade), they have repeatedly allowed (nay, encouraged) their seemingly overwhelming hatred of President Obama to prevent any constructive working arrangement despite the horrendous economic circumstances we ended up with by the time the Bush (mis-)administration's two terms FINALLY ended. Yet, they have the nerve to now complain about President Obama getting tough with them? OMFG!!!!

He seems like he'd be easy to oust this year, especially given the Walker recall coming up. Any Wisconsinites have any info?

He's such a miserable little putz. I want to smack him silly every time I see his smarmy little mug.

Thou shalt not tell the truth about Republicans.

This is especially true if you are a Democrat. You are to keep your mouth shut and your opinion to yourself if you have differences with Republicans. Punishment shall range from public humiliation to death threats to summary execution.
