The Rude Pundit - Bobby Jindal: Fetus and Jesus Lover and Hypocritical Motherfucker![]() That's Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal handing a copy of a law he just signed to the legislators who sponsored it. The law "requires that a physician performing an abortion have active admitting privileges at a hospital that is not more than 30 miles from where the abortion is performed." It is called the Unsafe Abortion Protection Act, and it's not a stretch to read that as saying that the law ensures that more women will get unsafe abortions since the bill will force all but one clinic that performs abortions to close. By the way, Jindal signed the bill into law at the First Baptist Church of West Monroe, which is in an area of northeast Louisiana that might be politely referred to as "filthy with backwards ass country fucks." You got that? Signing an anti-abortion bill at a Baptist church? Jindal had to have gotten bingo on his Pandering Dickwad card. That was on Thursday. On Saturday, Jindal was speaking before Iowa Republicans (motto: "Our disproportionate influence over who becomes the president ought to be outlawed" ![]() Okay, wait. This goes from cynical lying to farce. Because, see, Jindal signed two bills at that Baptist church that fine day last week. The other bill says that "no individual or organization that performs elective abortion or its affiliates may provide instruction or materials in public elementary and secondary schools or in charter schools that receive state funding." So the conclusion we can draw is that the First Amendment rights of Christians are sacrosanct, but the First Amendment rights (which includes, you know, speech) are bullshit for anyone who is even affiliated with abortion providing. And that's today's lesson in "Go fuck yourself with a crucifix, Bobby Jindal." http://rudepundit.blogspot.com/2014/06/bobby-jindal-fetus-and-jesus-lover-and.html

2. Who keeps electing this fuck?
Oh right, all those people who are brainwashed at least once a week and threatened with the fire of damnation if they don't vote for the gawd loving politician who is allowing his masters to steal their homes, outsource their jobs, and kill their environment. All for a Jesus circa 1980.

3. Brainwashed
kind of implies they have brains to begin with. I tend to disagree. Shall we just say mindless?

8. I actually do know a couple of people who used to be sane
and then turned into fundie whack jobs. They were not brain surgeons mind you, but one was from a pretty mainstream liberal California family. Her husband, dealing with his issues with alcohol, became a born again. She started going to crazy mega church every weekend with his family. She's still a nice person, but you can't talk about certain things (like abortion) in front of her any more. She knows enough not to say religious stuff in front of the family and friends but sometimes it leaks out and you go, huh?
The other is a teacher. His family was pretty religious, but sort of the old fashioned, charitable and generous Christian people. Then for some reason, they started going to the freaky winger church that swallowed up all the churches in the area. Same shit spewed out of the pulpit we see all over. They HAND OUT voting pamphlets so people vote properly. Some whacky ideas now come out of his head and he no longer votes Democratic (as a union employee!!) because of gawd, gunz, and teh gay. The right wing strategy to capture the churches has worked extremely well for them. They now have a place to spread their message every day on a personal level. Add to that the constant media message and they have completely indoctrinated whole swaths of the country. I wish liberals as well as Christians (not the new Kristians) would fight to take back their message which has become so corrupt and twisted. Just mocking them isn't working any more. |

4. There's going to be something wrong with any bill signed in a Baptist Church.
That's one of the most fucked up things I've heard done by any southern politician, and there's loads of competition for that prize.

Strikes another blow for stupid motherfuckers everywhere. Did they not learn anything from prohibition? Back to the days of the coat hanger abortion in Lose-E-Anna.

10. Hello??? IRS where are you??
These churches are deliberately breaking the law and getting away with it! By having this bill signed at the church they are blatantly presenting a political agenda, their tax exempt status should immediately be revoked!!

Looks like there was a petition on the WhiteHouse peition site, but it didn't get enough signatures. We need an organization like MoveOn to post and promote a new one. |
