Malia Obama Is Working on the Set of Extant

Malia Obama has entered the working world, and, predictably, she's not bussing tables or folding clothes at Forever 21. According to The Wrap, the 15-year-old First Daughter was spotted working as a production assistant on CBS's forthcoming sci-fi series Extant, produced by prominent Obama donor Steven Spielberg. The show stars Halle Berry as an astronaut returning from a year alone in space, whose experiences somehow "change the course of human history." A source close to the production said that Malia "helped with computer shop alignments and the director also let her slate a take." Meanwhile, Sasha Obama continues to freeload off her parents.

and frankly good for her, but her connections helped her get that job.

I worked as a PA for years (before moving into the camera dept) and know there is no correct path into the "biz" and any boost up or break you can get, you take it.

I hope she appreciates the break and uses it wisely.
