Bringing Down Big Banks

Basically, go credit unions. After years and years of big banks, we went to a local credit union to consolidate credit card bill which averaged somewhere in the 18% range - some at 24%. The CU offered a 3.5% and it had an amazing effect. For the first time in a long time we can actually see the debt going down. Got a new car financed thru them also at a lower rate than any bank could offer.

I have had a credit union since 1990 and never use anything else. Although I do have a savings account with minimum amount at USAA so I can have their car insurance, but not sure if that would be classified as a big bank anyway.

And I'm 69.

I've been preaching credit unions and co-ops most of my life.
