Was I supposed to forget the VA Walter Reed embarrassment of 2007?

"It's not just Walter Reed"

Was I supposed to forget that the VA had a customer satisfaction rate of 80%+ as recently as 2013?

In fact, Fox News included government run healthcare operations' (VA, TriCare, Medicaid, Medicare) approval numbers to inflate approval ratings for privately run healthcare ( none was above 50%) in their failing argument against ACA.

Was I supposed to forget that part of planning for a WAR is to plan for the aftermath? Even if the jokeknob in Chief at the time apparently said that he thought we could invade and occupy an entire country and there would be no casualties.

Look none of this excuses the VA not getting fixed but for God's sake this is only new because of the SURGE in Vets filing claims. Wars make more Veterans.

Just three months ago, Senate was poised to pass a big bill expanding VA funding. It was blocked by a GOP filibuster: http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/02/27/us-usa-veterans-congress-idUSBREA1Q26O20140227

I get the THIS IS FOR THE TROOPS (I was once a troop myself ) but in an adult conversation about this the fact that the lack of services is the common denominator would be mentioned.

Who am I kidding, there are no adult conversations in our media.

GOP of course cut funding for vets and increased the supply of wounded veterans through their wars. I'm disappointed that Dems didn't know about it and do something. Hopefully enough Dems will do something to fix it. This should be a top priority for Obama, the healthcare president.
