Pretty amazing footage, IMO. We've seen the newsreels for so long, but this show more of the actual explosion and from a completely different angle...

A series of wells in west Texas. The government declared it as a defense commodity and regulated it's sale. Germany was not allowed to buy because of the Zeppelin raids on London in WW1.
Thus they had to use the more dangerous hydrogen.
