If you love your mom, don't send her Proflowers

I know that if you listen to any progressive (or other) talk radio, you have been bombarded by Proflowers ads this week. If you really love your mom, call a local florist in your mom's town and have them deliver fresh flowers in lieu of sending Proflowers .Proflowers send via UPS a packaged box of flowers along with the vase that often times looks like shit. I used Proflowers a couple of years ago and they sent my wife a cardboard box of flowers in a plastic bag and a cracked vase. If you want to send flowers to your mom, go local.

Proflowers sucks.

Yeah, I fulfilled the requirement for getting red roses. They looked OK upon opening, but they just didn't do like we expected over the next few days. I don't remember the price being a whole lot different, if any, from using a local florist.

It took them a week to be delivered. They finally arrived the day before I was flying out for his funeral. What I received was a box with a plastic bag of three unopened lilly stems, several pieces of eucalyptus, some ferns and a cheap glass vase. I know my company spent quite a bit on the flowers they sent, and I appreciate the sentiment. I was gone for three weeks taking care of my dads arrangements so I can't say if they ever would have opened and been pretty or not.

They're a rip off place that's for sure.
