House GOP lets Alan West get away with comparing Democrats to Nazis

House Tables Resolution Admonishing Allen West for Goebbels Remark

The House today dismissed a resolution offered by Rep. Donna Edwards (D-Md.) that would have admonished Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) for recently saying Joseph Goebbels, the German head of propaganda for the Nazi party during World War II, would be “very proud” of the Democratic Party’s messaging efforts.

West recently told reporters, “If Joseph Goebbels was around, he’d be very proud of the Democrat Party because they have an incredible propaganda machine.”

Edwards’ resolution said, “By invoking the image of Joseph Goebbels and the Gestapo, Representative West has displayed a complete lack of understanding of the worst genocidal era in human history. Moreover, he has diminished and trivialized the unique evil perpetrated by the Third Reich through his unfortunate use of language.”

Rep. Tom Price (R-Ga.) moved to table, or dismiss, the resolution when Edwards offered it. The House voted 231-188 to table it.

That's EXACTLY how the GOP works.

AS does their mouth piece on Fox News.

All lies, all the time.

The Nazi comparison kinda falls apart when one side is using baseless propaganda and the other, the truth.

The Republicans would be in a constant state of faux outrage if Dems even tried to use the same tactics - the bills of censorship against Dems would tie up both houses completely.
