"Whistleblower: Insurance Industry Doesn't Want Affordable Care Act Repealed Wants Democrats Defeated"

It would be illogical for the industry not to want the law approved as it institutionlizes their industry into American Society and guarantees them a massive captive clientele, thereby strengthing their lobbying/bribing grip on any future Congress.

I do believe if this is approved by the SC, universal single payer or even a strong national public option will become all the more difficult to achieve.

Just like military contractor stocks. If the corporations profits are down just arrange to kill a few people and your golden again. I imagine a whole generation of investors smiling with joy when they see the amount at the bottom of their statements. Feeling warm & fuzzy knowing that medical insurers are working hard denying health care benefits to people so they can retire in comfort someday.

When you get sick, you cut into the profits the insurance companies and the dividends of the stock holders.

Elsewhere, health care is a Human Right. Here health care is a Right of the Rich.
