Zimmerman's father: "I never foresaw so much hate coming from the president"
byHayate YagamiFollow
I never foresaw so much hate coming from the president, the Congressional Black Caucus, NAACP, every organization imaginable is trying to get notoriety or profit from this in some way, but there's so much hate.

(53,410 posts)It's not rocket science. People project what they feel on everyone else. They'll project it on their animals too.
The programming is certainly complete on that one.

I think the president has shown remarkable restraint given the situation, and has been very responsible in asking folks to let DOJ do their job. That was a gift from him as far as I'm concerned.

(13,669 posts)Evidence? he don't need no stinkin evidence.
Honestly, the way this man spoke in the interview, he seems to think that he was there when Trayvon was killed. You can hear him thinking about what the proper answer would be and arranging it to fit his concept of self-defense.
I found it very offensive that he tried to make himself the victim, make this all about how difficult this episode is for him, when he talked about Vietnam. Did I miss his words of sorrow and compassion for the family of Trayvon- who, but for the actions this man's son- would still be alive today?
Hate? this man doesn't see it where it resides.

(30,674 posts)That interpretation makes me want to strangle a few folks in the media whose racism is OBVIOUS, not "in code."

He and his friends are lying in everyone's face when the facts are right in everyone's face, they are calling everyone else racists because in reality that is what they are.
He and his defenders are mainly republiCONS who lie day in and day out regardless of the facts..
Blacks are suppose to be full of hate because they want justice...and it isn't just Black people.

(20,833 posts)ask the president and all the hate mail he gets from the unarmed people kill in his drone attacks. The president can fill you in on how nasty the hate mail can get I'm sure.
"ask the president and all the hate mail he gets from the unarmed people kill in his drone attacks."
How is it possible President Obama is able to receive hate mail from people who were KILLED in drone attacks? And, another thing, why don't you posters who want everybody to only discuss drone attacks 24/7, simply start a thread about drone strikes, so you can discuss drone attacks 24/7, instead of using nearly every Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman thread to express outrage about them? It makes your "concern" seem insincere.

(20,833 posts)then that's on you. Me I've seen enough hatred of Obama here, out in the media to know Obama could fill this man in on how horrible hate can get. I no way do I see Obama's comments as hate.
Your comments on Obama not getting hate mail seems particularly naive and particularly on Drone attacks where even here on the DU he gets a lot of hate on this subject.
You see I wasn't blaming Obama for such attacks or were the attacks judge good or bad. I was using it as an example of how such events tend to bring the hate. Obama being president has to make decision that could kill innocent people, it does suck at times to be president. Zimmerman and his dad, not so much. They brought the events on themselves.

(50,290 posts)gee, let me guess. They are ALL black. Like father, like son, it seems. These comments are NOT helpful to his son, they just re-affirm the racism inherent in the killing of Trayvon, imo.

(12,894 posts)the blatant lies trashing this kid when he is no longer here to defend himself. How can he question Trayvon's girlfriend? Who is he to decide whether she was talking to him or not and besides, the phone records prove it. That one just is mind-boggling.
