Great guy, just a little naive. After graduating college and getting his first job, he had worked late in the office and was heading home and stopped off to get a coffee somewhere. It was winter, there was snow on the ground, and more snow was falling, and a woman, not dressed for the weather got out of a car with some guy driving it, and asked him for a ride home. It was on the way and being a good guy (and not thinking straight from tiredness), he said yes. When he dropped her off, she acted surprised that he wasn't coming up to her apartment. Being a good looking guy, he was used to getting hit on and refused her offer. He told me ten more miles down the road it hit him, and he laughed the rest of the way home.

Jason Jones of The Daily Show has it right on these sexually obsessed moral crusader types. They reek of a twisted psychological pattern no one can name but you know it when you smell it.
Cleaning up the community is not the primary draw for them to their little hobby.
What draws them is finding impoverished people - either spiritually or economically or both - that give them a sense of having the moral high ground so they can gain a feeling of authority and superiority out of the interaction. It's like he's desperate for self-esteem and finding people morally "lower" than himself is the only way he can get it. I bet that guy can't interact with anyone without boasting or trying to find some angle on why he's better than them. If the prostitution stopped he'd be nothing but a pathetic empty shell with nothing to live for. Nothing but a tick.
