Apparently he is convinced that healthcare debates in the US "emerge" every 17 years (like cicadas..MY reference).

It emerges..makes a whole bunch-a-noise and then dies away, leaving behind only memories of the noise.

His comment that unnerved me was about how every 17 years, the country is even further "right" than before, and that cliamte ,akes any reformation of health care even less probable.

My questions is this...

WHY IN THE BLOODY F'ING HELL do we continue to allow the rightward drift?

I am almost 63, so 17 years from now, for me, might be a totally abstract concept, but shame shame shame on Leadership Dems who apparently cannot figure out a way to get enough voters to move us left

1. What we old ones have is memory. And in retirement we get to retell them...and people must be nice

My plan is to tell stories about life in The Great Society until my by-passes fail. And I plan to make those stories VERY ROSEY

I want to plant a love for both civility and civil rights into the minds of 3-6 year olds, who like a vast army of sleepers will emerge after my death to erase from the fabric of the nation, the stains that will have accumulated in the first 1/4 of this century.

I have very big plans for my grandchildren's generation. They are wonderful, innocent, and IMPRESSIONABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's engineered dumbing down. What's different between today and 17 years ago? No FOX news.
