1. What I find most disturbing...
Is that the US does more executions then North Korea.
Aren't we supposed to be better then that country? Seriously. I thought they were supposed to be evil to the core? Given some of the stories to come out of the country, I'd have expected NK to be a LOT higher in that list. |

2. Many here on the DU support the death penalty. Not sure why. Eye for an Eye mode I guess. n-t

3. I support it too...
But even I can admit that some are a bit quick to bring up 'kill em' as the punishment for a crime.

7. I think those absolute numbers. Per capita or as percentage of overall population would
provide a better analysis. Absolutes are useful as well.

15. i have always said the US is backwards compared to many other nations
that are on the same level economically .
not just the death penalty but guns and religion. |
