On a scale of 1 to 10, Obama is a 7

That's pretty good.
He could probably get to a 9, in my book.
He has the potential.

Where does he stand in your rating?

Not perfect, but a fine job, particularly what he's been given to work with.

Because the dude inherited a craptastic situation and has a massively dysfunctional political system in DC to deal with. And with that, I think he has done much good.

I wish he had done more in the first 2 years, though. We had a majority, it drove me fucking bonkers to watch them dick around for a year with "town halls". When you have political capital, you need to use it.

Not a Washington, Lincoln, or FDR, but up there with TR or Polk. I think his foreign policy work will look a lot better in retrospect, particularly his lifelong NPT work (I think Stockholm should have jointly given the Peace prize to him and Bagel for that).

I'd probably give him a six. I'd have rated him higher if he hadn't wasted so much valuable time trying to play ball with the worst congress in American history. All they want is to see him fail. That's been their number one priority since he took office.

My biggest disappointments have been not getting out of iraq and afghanistan fast enough and also not giving enough attention to climate change. I also was hopeful he might have been able to bring some unity to the country and reduce the ugly partisanship that had developed over the years... well the rethugs would have none of that. Regardless he has done amazing things given the extreme adverse political and economic conditions. I doubt anyone could have done better.
