A week ago, House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) told reporters his plan was to take up the Senate’s bipartisan highway bill. That two-year, $109 billion bill passed the normally divided Senate by a 74-22 vote and will create or save nearly 3 million jobs and help build and maintain the nation’s highways, roads, bridges and transit systems.

But now Boehner refuses to bring up the Senate bill, which is opposed by the tea party wing of his caucus.

Find out how you can help persuade the House to act now on the bipartisan highway bill. Join Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) on Tuesday, March 27, at 3:30 p.m. EDT on a conference call about the stalled highway bill.
