Zimmerman's friend says that his 17-year-old daughter stated it was a term of endearment.
Even if Zimmerman said it out of the "goodness" of his heart, would he say that about a complete stranger he called 911 on?
Complete and utter horseshit!
on edit: Added "goon" since he may have said it instead.

(6,086 posts)murder in cold blood... He also stalked him, chased him and mentioned that "those assholes, they always get away". Yeah, that;s makes perfect sense.

(27,677 posts)and since Zimmerman is obviously under the age of 40....

(53,661 posts)That was with affection. Not the same word, really, but an animal, nonetheless.
The context of the remark by Zimmerman was not friendly. If this is all they could come up with in a month, LAME.
And it shows that he used the epitaph... Really, I'm not buying it.

(30,885 posts)That was the second half of the claim. Zimmerman called Trayvon a "goon," intended as "a term of endearment."
Then he slaughtered him.

(50 posts)I always yell sweet nothings when I'm shooting folks in hoodies... you don't?
Martin was 140 lbs, Zimmerman, 250 lbs. One a minor, one an adult. One had a loaded gun and no demonstrable hesitation in using it, the other just wanted to mind his own business and get home with his candy. Only one found black children inherently suspicious. Well, only one -- and a lot of the media. Truly shameful.

(4,452 posts)But I have to say that neither word was ever used as a term of endearment At least the last two decades I was working in schools and never heard either term used in a friendly manor.
