Growing up in Detroit in the '60s was as good as it got, with Motown. Oh, and the Beatles, Stones and Animals were there, too. But Aretha was as good as it got, along with Janis.

Please click on the hours for the different segments. Some songs I hadn't heard since I was a teenager.
The earlier hour mixed in a bit of greats along with a couple of Aretha's hits:
Spirit in the Dark -- Aretha Franklin -- Live at the Fillmore West
I Never Loved a Man (The Way I Love You) -- Aretha Franklin -- 30 Greatest Hits
