General Discussion
Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region Forums9 months and a zillion negative Snowden posts later, has DU's opinion about Snowden changed at all?
Based on these previous polls, I'd bet not:
6/15/2013 http://www.democraticunderground.com/10023022612 57% general approval
7/6/2013 http://www.democraticunderground.com/10023187842 56% general approval
8/11/2013 http://www.democraticunderground.com/10023443757 58% general approval
10/14/2013 http://www.democraticunderground.com/10023848902 60% general approval
12/15/2013 http://www.democraticunderground.com/10024180175 57% general approval
But let's just ask one more time for fun since the haters are out in force.

(37,573 posts)have posted at least as much as any haters have.
And a zillion posts later, have still not convinced me that he's all that.
edit:
and with things like 37 votes and 32 votes on two of those polls, the largest result, by far, was "did NOT vote". With at least 320 active DUers, less than 10% of them are voting in those polls.

(5,240 posts)No matter how one likes the end results, he did commit a crime.
(Y'all can go off on me now for my belief that Snowden is no kind of Hero)

(3,041 posts)But with five different polls and usernames not hidden anymore, it can be seen that there are different people participating each time, a total of 132 votes/non-votes in those 5 polls, and a 16.7% rate of repeat votes.
This, plus the fact that the results of all polls are remarkably similar, would lead me to conclude that these poll results are statistically significant and very likely represent the views of DU members as a whole.

(24,191 posts)3. Favors Snowden's actions, but not the results.
4. Disagrees with Snowden's actions, but favors the results.
With all the threads about this, I wonder if any DUer has changed an opinion.
This is a great META topic!
