The Reason The GOP Is So Agressive

I still believe that the GOP is so aggressive because they feel the money and the fix on elections will work and they will win all the power. They also have Fox and the rest of the MSM to carry water for them. They are either delusional or something is up. Perhaps I am being paranoid, but Reagan was not supposed to win. Bush was appointed or selected twice. They won big in 2010 when they should have lost.

Why would they be saying that this is what we are going to do? They are not only not backing down on a lot of issues they are open about ending Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and domestic programs. Just look at what Ryan is saying about Americans who use these programs. You are lazy pikers.

There must be a reason for their boldness.

I think they decided not to cheat against Obama, so he could be holding the bag after Bush trashed the economy.

The GOP is not going to win the WH ... they are imploding. And so they are trying to do as much damage as they can as they fall out of power ... that is what the war on women is all about.

The GOP is trying to make as much of a mess as they can ... fire state public workers, attack women, attack unions, anything and everything is fair game. Their goal is to make a huge mess.

And then, fro 2012, to 2016, they will whine like babies about the mess.

I think most Republicans know that. They've just lost their way and redoubled their efforts.

my guess is the whole economy will go straight into the toilet and people will finally wake up to what the Republicans truly are, and their party and their philosophy will be discredited for generations to come. Unfortunately, that would come at the cost of a great deal of suffering.

since the 80s they have pushed their agenda on state and local levels. When they are in the WH they are able to work on federal, national, and international levels. They have created their own base by reeducation and through propaganda. They have changed the rules and the structure of the government so it does not resemble what you or I learned in civics class.

Conservatives love to work behind the scenes and abhor disclosure, and in this have common ground with the corporate/military industry. They are male-dominant, intolerant, are authoritative and have been working behind the scenes for decades. This is what makes it SO difficult for the general public to recognize what is happening without sounding paranoid or hyperbolic. As long as we ridicule anyone pointing out how organized these people are, they win.

The left-- the general public-- has to MATCH their AGGRESSIVENESS, not only by waking up but to decide NOT TO BE PLAYED, and to change the rules of the game. Pass non corporate personhood, ERA, Fairness Doctrine, paper ballots, labor laws, run for school boards to name a few--and stay focused LIKE DOGS ON A HUNT--nomatter who is in the WH or representing us.

We have to change the game to prevent these people from taking over. They are bold because this is not a liberal country, it hasn't been since the 70s. The left has been played in a different way than conservatives, we are encouraged to chill, sit back and relax when we have a Democratic WH or wait until the next election.....wait, and watch their stupid puppet candidates so we are distracted--while they dismantle our infrastructure.

Meanwhile we wonder how women's rights are disappearing and there is so much intolerance and warmongering. Yes--they are bold. I hope I have been clear, this is what I believe.

11. When the only tool you have is a hammer
Wed Mar 21, 2012, 06:37 AM

all problems begin to look like nails.

They actually still believe they were right under GWB and have all the tools they need. McCain just did not swing the hammer hard enough, so we now have a contest for purity and aggression. They are attempting to find someone who will swing the hammer hard with purity of purpose.

The difficulty is that the problem calls for a wrench and perhaps some screwdrivers. They do not have any in the tool box, so they are going with "hit it with a bigger hammer".

There is also a certain desperation because they know their time is running out. Obama brought on the coming demographic wave early by registering tons of young voters. He will do it again with a whole new crop. My daughter for instance was 3 months too young to vote in 2008, thankfully uses BC, and has the hand me down vehicle I gave her for college decorated with Obama gear. There are alot more like her and they will be at the polls in 2012.

(2016 and 2020 as well, republicans are in real trouble over the long haul, and they know it)

Dems don't know how to fight back.

They would rather be nice, hold hands and sing songs.

In many elections the the only 'choice' people have to vote for is conservative dem or conservative pub, a win/win for the gop.

As long as the Democratic Party keeps moving to the right, the Democratic Party will eventually become the old republican party.

because they have run away from the political center. Now they need to continue to dig deeper and there just are not any move voters down there.

Now only the most conservative conservatives can hold onto power by digging deeper so you end up with only the extremists in the party.

This was inevitable.

who crossed over and voted for him.

In others words many dems are not much brighter than the average Pub.

Many Democrats have no concept of what a liberal/progressive is any more and the party damn sure is not very interested in liberal/progressive canidates either.
