How to torment fast food workers

Most fast food workers and most telemarketers make about the same amount of money - Telemarketers can be annoying - no doubt - And no doubt fast food workers are for the most part peddling unhealthy - cardiac disease causing and carcinogenic poison masquerading as food. Both groups are clearly people who made the wrong life choices to end up at the bottom of the barrel.

Since there have been a number of suggestions of how to torment one group of people at the very bottom of the social economic spectrum - perhaps people have some suggestions about how to go on the offensive against this other group of harmful parasites.

but as it is, useless analogy.

And to be honest, I do not eat Fast food so technically, hell no i do not support FF workers.

Actually your analogy is very apt. Both industries do MORE HARM than GOOD and should go the FUCK away.

I imagine it's rather convenient to be so disposed as to rationalize vulgarity and ugliness towards those who merely show up at one's door.

One may even believe it advertises more of your own character than that of those "beating" at your door (we are bemused though, by the use of the melodramatic as to better validate your actions... maybe a grim soundtrack by Hans Zimmer to really force the fiction)

who'd a thought so much of DU would be for it - to torment the poor.

Apparently just hanging up isn't fun or degrading enough.

starts using my phone minutes, or ignores the No Solicitors signs on the gate and the door in order to wake me up to tell me about a once-in-a-lifetime deal on having my car detailed, I'll be just as pissed at them.

Besides, these are those great jobs the President keeps saying are turning this economy around.

No matter what you may think of the product fast food workers deliver to their customers, the fact remains that their customers ASK for it. Telemarketers are paid to harass people against their will. How on Earth do you view these situations as even remotely similar?

Doesn't change anything though. I don't care HOW broke I get there is only one of those two occupations I would consider. Telemarketing of the sort we have been discussing is unethical to my mind and I would not do it.

It doesn't matter to me HOW much they sold their souls for, the fact that they have is what counts.

in fact no one where I worked harassed anyone....we simply asked people if they wanted what we were selling...I was not very good at it...the woman next to me was very good...and I felt ashamed...and SHE did not harass..she just had the voice that made people want to purchase from her...cause we both followed the same script...so voice had to make a difference...

I think I sounded condescending...people have accused me of being a snob..but it's my mother's fault..she taught us big words and proper English...

I was told to offer fries to people if they didn't order them.

One old man decided he had the right to yell abuse at me for offering something he hadn't asked for.

People who enjoy being nasty and shitty to others whom they consider to be beneath them will find an excuse to be nasty and shitty.

the telemarketers themselves. They are just trying to earn a paycheck to feed their family. Tormenting someone over their job only makes the world a worse place, not a better place.
