If you really want to tick off a Tea Partier....

As we approach the holiday season a lot of us will be at events and wind up trapped in conversations with Tea Party members in one way or the other at home or work.
When I've had enough of their insane blathering about whatever they hate the most - birth certificates, Benghazi, what Rush says, blah blah etc.
I lean in and tell them "I'm voting for Obama/Biden again in 2016. They have a secret plan that lets him run for a third term."
Then you can just walk away or stay and watch their little brains explode like the opening of the movie Scanners.
Either way, good times.

The next time they start in with politics just look at them and sincerely say. "I can't talk to you about politics. You don't know shit.".

I'm going to employ a similar technique and combine that with the "Is that true, or did you hear it on Fox". It goes, "I can't talk to you, you don't know what you're talking about. You get all your info from fox and a fat impotent man on the radio.".

Then I'll walk away and have some more pie.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

No use "debating" a fool. Actually, I find that it is never a debate with these people....it is always just a lecture, since they will not shut up long enough for me to dispute any points. In fact, that has been my new line when they get in my face and spew idiocy and spit...I ask "is this supposed to be a discussion or a lecture"?

My RWNJ sister-in-law does this all the time - she slows down and gets louder, and think this means she is "winning."

She also likes to trot out the "I thought liberals were open to new ideas" line when one declines to read the latest nonsense about Benghazi or engage in another "debate" with a brick wall.

I was the only non-right winger in the office of 14 people. When someone would approach and ask my opinion or start talking politics, I would tell them to “stay right here, I have forgot something in my car, then we can talk”. I would then go to lunch or go to another building. In that job, I learned that most of my coworkers didn’t care for my opinion. They just wanted an opening to lecture me or spout the latest verbal diarrhea from Limpbone.
