Survey from the Democratic National Committee.....WTF?

Listed 16 issues they wanted me to rank as to importance.

On list: worried about North Korea.

Not on list: Climate Change, environmental concerns.

Didn't catch her on Maher, but did see her on Stewart. And she didn't answer many of his questions - but did that dance of talking about how great everything DLC and the resulting polices has been. (Though she doesn't of course use the expression DLC.)

I think Stewart has thrown in the towel as well. His Jessica Williams skit on last Mon or Tues night about how Obama is upbeat because no one tells him what really is happening was hilarious but also tragic. Williams asked Jon how he could even do the show every night, and he answered that he pretends he is inside a drama in which a nation is going down the tubes.

And I use that type of pretense myself to get through my daily life. I pretend someday it will all be better. But it's obvious that unless there is some Great Hereafter where decent people get their Pie in the Sky when They Die, nothing much will happen to make the changes needed - totally possible changes, but ones that don't interest the One Percent at all. And since almost everything is under their control...

Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE and said: No explanation given
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE and said: Tough call because the fact that environmental change was not on the poll IS important. On the other hand, as the election approaches and the candidates are defined, there should be a cut-off for posts that appear to be advocating non-Democratic options. I don't think we're there yet.
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE and said: No explanation given
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE and said: My understanding is that the rule is "You shall not support, or work against, democratic candidates." This post is not that. This post is trying to say that the Democratic Party should be more progressive. I support that and an open sharing of positions and ideas.
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE and said: No explanation given

This site is for all things Democratic, and for all of us to support the Democratic ticket.

The fact that the DLC Dems who run the party are now further to the right than the Republicans of the early seventies, and the fact that Republicans are half baked nutters, doesn't excuse anyone here trying to think outside of the box.

Nor does the fact that 40% of all Americans indicate to pollsters that they are fed up with the One Percent and its total control over Both Parties help us get any wiggle room.

and worked my way up their push poll list from there.

Then in the comments section, I filled in my real priorities. I didn't bother to give them any money, either, because I doubt they share my priorities, even though a few of their priorities did make my top 16 and got the same numbers as in my real list.

So jobs may have been #5 on the list, but terrorism was #99. Or was that the deficit? I forget.

It accepted my response, so don't feel you have to be limited by their choices. Just let them know how out of touch they are and how stupid you are not!!!!

This is not pushing a DNC message; it's attempting to collect contact info and contributions, based on what the DNC thinks are of concern to the donors getting the letter. Maybe the fact the progressive proudly talk about how they never give to DNC accounts for the fact that their issies aren't on the list.

The uses of push polling are well understood and if you don't think the DNC knows what they are up to, then you are asserting they are incompetent. They know perfectly well what our concerns are, and if they want money from us they can mention them.

They're only trying to draw the attention of people who can afford to contribute big-time, and really don't give a shit about what the proles think because they don't have either money or influence.

If you stand to make big money on a conflict with N. Korea, they wanna know it.

Throwing in the towel is just what the others want. We must stop doing this within our own party. Sure, we can support Sanders but will that get us to the end we desire? What we need to do is bring the Debbies of the party into positions and policy movements that WE want to support. The resources are within to do this not outside. If we divide now we lose the gains we made against the Tea Party types during the last year. Read my new post about what is happening to us right now.
