An Obamacare phone operator who had a conversation with Fox News host Sean Hannity lost her job on Thursday.

On Monday, the “Hannity” host called up the Affordable Care Act phone number provided by the federal government. Eventually, he was connected with Erling Davis, a phone operator working for a private contract company .

Hannity quizzed Davis about technical issues facing the government healthcare website and engaged in some small talk during their 10-minute conversation.

However, on Thursday Davis revealed that she was fired by her employer over the conversation. For his part, Hannity told listeners of his radio show that he will compensate Davis for a year’s salary tax free and try to help her find a new job.

“They fired me from my job,” Davis told Hannity while being interviewed on his radio program.

valuable time from people that need to enroll. Maybe at a later date, there will be time for small talk - not right now.

Could it have been she was giving incorrect info? Could it not to release the internal workings of the company?

The last sentence is poorly written “They fired me from my job,” Davis told Hannity while being interviewed on his radio program.....did the private contractor fire her while she was on the interview with Hannity, or had she called back at a later date for another interview?

neither the primes nor subs "play"... particularly given the media attention on the ACA rollout. And the government can't intervene. I expect Hannity doesn't give a shit because his little payout was probably his running around money.

I've got stuff all over Facebook about how heartless liberals fired this operator for speaking the truth. Looks to me more like private contractor fired operator for violating policy against speaking to media.

Then she said "thank you" and hung up. (It was a choice moment on Morning Joe. I hope you saw the clip posted here.)

That was classy on Mika's part. The agent is a low-level employee who is on the clock and answerable for his/her time. They are not authorized to speak to media personalities of any persuasion, on-air or off.

Hannity put this woman's job on the line. Naturally he is not ashamed of himself.
