...and there is plenty to say, but I am listening to his press conference right now. The questions have been wall-to-wall Bomb Iran, and he is doing his level best to explain the complexities of the issue, and isn't coming off like a frothing bomb-thrower.
Refreshing.

(16,646 posts)As always, it's easier to understand him from what he does, and not what he says. He's fully invested in the sactions/negotiations route with Iran. Can't hurt that virtually the entire diplomatic and military communities are advocating that route (save maybe Israel). Not sure where he goes if Iran decides to act unilaterally. He's shown no hesitation to start dropping bombs on people.

He is an absolute master at these press conferences, answering questions, general public speaking. He has a skill. One thing I wasn't impressed with years ago, he gave these long-winded answers to every question like he is doing now but to the question, (going from memory)"Do you think it would be a good idea, to legalize and tax marijuana to rebuild the economy" with a simple(and going from memory)"No, I don't think it is a good idea". To a loud applause to teachers & nurses(I believe). Didn't elaborate, nothing. However, that wasn't a drawback from his skill, his handlers wanted the question scrapped and this was his way of not going along with his handlers while achieving the same result by not treating it as a serious question, or as serious as all the other questions during that Town Hall, Q&A, I forgot exactly what it was.
Don't worry, I'll vote for him. Even if I may lean towards to not voting or going third party, there are plenty of people in this state not voting for him for the wrong reasons so I won't help them here.

Let's face it, if you were the Iranians who would you rather have as president of the U.S.. Weathervane Romney, Nutty Newt, Sanctimonious Santorum or the guy who sent Bin Laden to swim with the fishes?
