What is it with Democrat politicians dying? Zalatix Mar 2012 #3
I have no data for this at all, but perhaps Republicans tend to retire earlier from Congress muriel_volestrangler Mar 2012 #8

CNN and MSNBC's websites). I looked up his picture -- not too young, not too old, which doesn't mean anything I guess. Regardless, I'm sorry to hear this.

so that they can cash in with lobbying jobs, directorships etc. As I say, I have no evidence for that, but it's possible that Democrats stay in the job longer, and thus become more likely to die while still in it.

On edit: some data:

http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704835504576059582025431402.html#project%3DCONGRESS_AGES_1009%26articleTabs%3Dinteractive

It varies, but the average age in the House for Dems has tended to a a couple of years more than for Repubs. That shot up for this Congress - 60.2 v. 54.9.

always low-key but getting the job done, and never tainted by the local goings on in Newark and parts of Union County. One of the good guys.

He will be missed.
