It seems I turned off a girl who was into me by posting the following on facebook:
"Truth be told, he (Kirk Cameron) and others who share the same mindset DON'T believe in what they say; for them being pro-life ends at birth, after that you're on your own. Short sighted indeed, especially when they want to eviscerate ANY kind of social safety net that would keep her and her new born afloat. And God forbid if she did the right thing (in their opinion) and kept the baby -- even worse if she applied for any kind of public assistance! All those people who were concerned are now going to call her a parasite, or a slut. If you're going to be pro-life be pro-life womb to tomb!"
The sad part, she was starting to grow on me... Oh well, c'est la vie.

(66 posts)Those that have not read Kirk's rants may not get it, but that guy is off the reservation by miles.
He is a total Christozombie, and everything you said.

(339 posts)When I first saw "Back in Town" I was 12.
It made sense to me then, I just don't understand why it doesn't make sense to those who are twice that age.

(339 posts)There was a time, not too long ago, when religion gave a voice to those beaten down by the plutocrats, but now if you ask a religious person (especially in my area) their thoughts about social/economic justice you get a "WTF" face.
It's all about abortion and their disdain for the LGBT community; what's the point of religion if you're only going to use it as a tool to tear a people down?
