He has absolutely nothing to gain by behaving now. His very lucrative business model is based on him being a complete and utter asshole.

The man (and I use that term quite loosely) doesn't have any self control at all. He prides himself on this fact.

Obviously losing too many advertiser bucks woke his fat, dimpled ass up.

All he's doing is buying time until the spotlight on himself isn't so bright and hot.

Given his longstanding hatred for women and the way that the wingers are currently prosecuting their war on the female gender, it's only a short matter of time before he finds that he can't resist wading into the morass of misogyny.

He's addicted to his own assholism, a drug for which there is no rehab.

Not positive but I bet that his rating for the end of this week will be huge. Probably the same going into next week. That is what matters to him. That is what matters to advertisers. He is over 60 and is doing a great job padding his bank account. Every time he has one of these blow-ups he benefits greatly.

That being said there are some good things that happen when he does this. For one he has offended many of his listeners and they do think about how he has attacked this woman. Two is the fact that many organizations will be able to use this for very successful fundraisers.

Fuck Rush. He will retire in the next couple of years and there is no one with popularity like him on right wing radio. It is only a matter of time.
