In Slinger, WI a call about a house party, then a fatal shooting

Police weren't able to reach anyone at the house when they were called about the party. They found the body of a 20-year-old at a neighbor's house when one of the homeowners called to say that he'd shot an intruder.
According to a news release, police went to a house in the 100 block of N. Kettle Moraine Drive about 12:50 a.m. after receiving a complaint about loud noise. The caller suspected someone at the house was hosting underage drinking party.
Police arrived and knocked on the door, but couldn't reach anyone. They also spoke to one of the neighboring homeowners by phone who said she was at work. After police left, the woman contacted police and said she had reached her husband. She said her husband was asleep at the neighboring house, according to the news release.
About 2 a.m., the neighboring husband called police to say he had shot an intruder. When officers arrived, they found a 20-year-old man on the porch who had been shot in the chest. He was dead at the scene.
