An obervation about Limbaugh's porno plan
There is plenty of attention being given to the ugly name calling by Limbaugh, and rightly so. But the whole thing about making a porno for him to watch seems even more bizarre to me. When you think of what Santorum and his ilk have to say about pornography, and given that that is the crowd the attack is pandering to, how are they not completely shocked and repulsed by the suggestion that Rush wants to watch government mandated amateur porn? The name calling, the whole "feminazi" line of crap is nothing new, but this is just plain creepy. I guess I should stop being surprised that conservatives will stand for anything if it comes from their side, but damn.

2. Agree 100%
Why isn't the media focusing on the porno aspect?
Limbaugh is saying that if a woman uses contraception paid for by an insurance company, then the woman should be forced to make a video of herself having sex and then post that video online for Rush and like-minded idiots to drool over. That is absolutely the creepiest thing I have ever heard. I think the father of the physical therapist I was just referred to owns a radio station that broadcasts the Rush Limbaugh program. If it turns out that the therapist is related to the man who broadcasts Rush, I am going to insist on a referral to another physical therapist. No way could I be comfortable around anyone remotely responsible for airing such creepiness. |

3. I agree
Where are all of these "Religious Right watchdog groups" who get up in arms and yell if Sandy Cheeks shows too much squirrel-cleavage in a Spongebob episode? Why are they responding with crickets and complete silence over Rush using his airwaves to demand porn of a woman so he can pleasure himself to them? But oh no- that's their good buddy, their pal. So they'll continue to appear on his show gleefully agreeing with everything he says. Can't attack "one of the family", right? Damn hypocrtites.

9. It really makes you wonder if there is anything he could say
that these phony Puritans would actually have the courage to denounce.

4. Cenk Uygur summed it up best
1. We hate contraception
2. We think any woman who's having sex outside of marriage is a slut 3. We'd like to watch it http://www.democraticunderground.com/101714496 |

5. The porno thing is indeed
extremely skin crawling creepy.
What bothered me was his apparent total ignorance, and his willingness to spread the mis-information, of how oral contraceptives function. He seems to be under the impression a woman has to swallow a pill each time she engages in sex. (I guess if he is accustomed to tossing back viagra, he thinks women have to do the same?) There is a reason the Pill container is marked with days of the week. In all the years since the Pill became available, he still doesn't know how it works? |

8. A friend & I where talking about this incident today
and we both agreed that his admission that he wanted to watch co-eds have sex, and especially the way he said it, like he was savoring a movie of it in his squrimy little mind, was extremely creepy.

10. It struck me as sexual harassment
because we are talking about employer based health insurance covering contraception.
Now Rush wants the women who receive that coverage to provide pornography for their employers. How is that not sexual harassment (among other things)? |
