The negative, pounding, organized, relentless GOP drumbeat against
Obamacare is blasting like a rocket into the stratosphere. They are desperate, strident and everywhere.
I watched David Frum on Bill Maher pound away at breakneck speed point after point why the American people hate it..... The lack of push back whenever a Democratic surrogate is present is...stunning...allowed the GOP to seize the message when they could have said..."you lie." The GOP has gained traction in the polls.. ![]()

2. Madder...maddest...whatever...I want our side to stop letting the GOP define the message...why?
Because it chips away at local and state wide candidates...where we kneed to increase our numbers...

4. They are obsessed with this.
Otherwise there wouldn't be the constant voting. Congress hasn't done squat except discuss and vote for this.
Where I am, it hasn't hurt local candidates at all. |

3. I still cannot understand why.
I can't grasp that they do not want good for the American people -- are they all really that evil?

5. I don't think that they care about anybody but themselves.
It also has a lot to do with not wanting the President to get anything through ever.

9. Yes, our President is at the core of their hatred. But how long have we known this? Going on
5 years now?? Why the hell are Democrats so fucked up when it comes to messaging?

11. I don't know if they are fucked up
on messaging or just weary from dealing with those asshats. If I was in Congress, every once in awhile (time for another health care vote!) I would dread going to work. More obstruction every damn day.

7. They don't, just as they fought against Medicare. More importantly, in 2013, their negative
campaign of anti Obamacare TV ads and surrogates getting their faces and talking points on every news/cable program they can, is having an effect on the polls.

10. I can see the destruction
they are causing, I just don't see what they get.
They have kids/grandkids, too, right -- it seems they do not care what they leave for the coming generations. |

12. What they get is a perceived
check in the 'win' column. That's what it is about to them.

14. Frum was awful on Real Time.
He is usually very good at what he does, but Friday night he was just whining while circling the drain and he knew it. Here's hoping Frum is septic safe and causes no harm to the plumbing there at Television City....

18. Agree. But what was stunning to me, was how strident and forceful Frum was, hammering at every
chance.
I thought to myself..."holy cow - they are fearful people will like healthcare and turn to the Dems".... |

15. Tea Party negativity is rampant where I live
Utah is populated by a majority of pathetically brainwashed sheep. Most of the people here admire and respect a hypocritical and dead beat Senator (Mike Lee) who defaulted on his home mortgage. The only Democrat in the Utah Congressional delegation (Jim Matheson) voted for the CR to defund Obamacare. I'm thoroughly disgusted with the way the national Democrats have allowed the extreme right to dominate and define the debate. Critical thinking is discouraged and frowned upon and nobody is willing to step forward and demand it. The Republican effort to defund and define education for the last forty years is finally coming to fruition and manifesting itself in the ignorance of the voters.
