There must be something good about "Obamacare" ??

Otherwise, why would the Republicans be so desperate to kill it?

Are they so beholden to the insurance companies that they would sell their souls for their masters?

If that is not the reason, what could it be?

Is it that they are sincerely concerned about the health and well-being of their fellow Americans? Get real.

The clock is running down. Their desperation is obvious. They are unpredictable and schizophrenic with their attempts to get rid of Obamacare.

Remember beholden comes with a cheque and Gingrey thinks his $172,000 is too small

Additionally ObamaCare is good and will only get better- and they made the name stick.

"Health-care reform isn’t going anywhere. But that hasn’t stopped Republicans from using it to raise money from gullible Tea Partiers who want it defunded... As of Tuesday afternoon, this particular push had raised over $327,000, and it’s no stretch to assume that other, similar efforts have raised as much if not more cash. To wit, the Senate Conservatives Fund—a political action committee devoted to electing “true conservatives to the United States Senate”—also has a specific website that collects donations for Obamacare repeal. It asks supporters to “Join Mike Lee and Ted Cruz in the fight to stop Obamacare” with a small contribution. The same goes for the National Liberty Federation, a Tea Party group that wants to know if you have a few dollars to spare in the fight against Obamacare...Of course, no matter how much money these groups collect, the Affordable Care Act is here to stay. And they know it..."

"...The reason insurance companies, Republicans,...hate Obamacare is because it requires 85 percent of premium funds to be used for health care, not executive pay, bonuses, benefits, lobbying or advertising.
Insurance company executives, lobbyists and their congressional buddies make millions using funds from insurance premiums and denied claims to line their pockets by denying coverage and care to sick people and by charging exorbitant rates for premiums...Republicans and insurance companies hate Obamacare and will do anything to defeat it, including lie to the public. Don't be deceived by their deception. It's all about money. Follow the money."

once it fully kicks in, and people get used to the idea of how it works. And it will eventually lead to single payer down the line.

The Democratic Party will have huge bragging rights on this issue in elections to come - and the GOP will be known as the party who tried to undo it.

Obamacare's success scares the living daylights out of Republicans for that very reason.

They have to keep it up or someone with a lower IQ, fewer scruples, and less than zero morals or ethics will primary them.

It doesn't matter what the ACA does. At this point, they can not change course and compromise because they have told so many lies that their constituents bought. If they stop trying to de-fund it or repeal it, they will be seen as socialist liberals who sold out to Obama.

Obama used a red line of Chemical Weapons to paint himself in a corner over Syria. Fortunately, there were other powers that were willing to work to keep us from making those air strikes.

Republicans painted a red line with lies and Obama's name, but there doesn't seem to be anyone willing to help them out of their corner. Sadly, a lot of those people who are the worst in Congress will be re elected because of their brain dead gerrymandered electorate.

first, will there be enough support for obamacare by january 20, 2017 that a republican president & congress couldn't kill it?

second, when (not if) the people get fed up with our health care/insurance mess (notwithstanding obamacare), when they demand reform, will they be more inclined to demand single payer, or more inclined to demand repeal of obamacare.

my main concern with the perpetual denigration of obamacare is that eventually, even this somewhat improved mess will be in need of change. if our problems then are seen as the result of obama's reforms, then the public will demand repeal, which will only make things worse. we want the public to demand single payer at that point.
