I'm just glad we're apparently not opening up another war front.
I don't care that we're working with a complete asshole to do it, either.
I think we need to bring all our soldiers home and take the money that would have gone into supporting their war and heal them both physically and psychologically.
Our country has, for much of its existence, interfered with other countries in the name of "realpolitik" or some other such crap like that. The only thing it gets us, in the long run, is the hatred of those peoples. I'm tired of it. I think we should retreat to our borders, tell Russia and China that we'll come back out if they get frisky, and then be a superpower that is eager to offer humanitarian aid and highly reluctant to use or sell weapons.
I'll be happy when "I'm an American" translates into either "I'm here to help" or "I'm here to spend money" in all languages. But I don't ever think I'll see that day.
